Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research (formerly The G&P Foundation) was founded in 1996 by Grammy-nominated songwriter, Denise Rich and her daughters, Ilona Rich Schachter and Daniella Rich Kilstock in memory of their daughter and sister, Gabrielle Rich Aouad, who lost her battle with acute myelogenous leukemia at the age of 27. To date, Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation has awarded $10 million dollars to forty-one junior investigators leading their fields in cancer research and making Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation one of the largest non-governmental sources of grant support to blood cancer researchers in the nation.
