New York Women in Communications, Inc. (NYWICI) is the leading professional organization representing women in all fields of communications, including journalism, broadcasting, advertising, public relations, film, television, and publishing.

The NYWICI Foundation is the charitable 501(c)3 arm of New York Women in Communications, Inc. (NYWICI). It awards scholarships and provides educational programs for women who are embarking on, transitioning to, or furthering careers in communications.

Since its founding in 2000, the Foundation has awarded more than $500,000 in scholarships to over 85 women. The NYWICI Foundation scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence, financial need, civic participation, and involvement in the field of communications. Our applicants are a highly diverse group - in terms of background and interests - yet there are striking similarities among them. All of our winners display enormous energy, ambition, and a desire to be agents of change. Most are already leaders in their schools and/or communities. Each scholarship recipient is talent, passion, and heart all rolled into one.
